I believe we should be focused on issues that effect you everyday. The maintenance of roads is a critical and important service that the City provides. We need to continue to invest in our roads and infrastructure. It’s much cheaper to invest in preventive maintenance than to rebuild a crumbling roadway due to neglect. Not to mention the damage these roadways do to your vehicles and the hazard they are to bicyclists. I will work to invest more in road maintenance. I won’t just listen to the City engineer when they tell me the roadways are fine. I will get out in our neighborhoods and see the condition of our roads myself. I believe as a city we are only as strong as our weakest neighborhood. Some neighborhoods are not receiving the same level of support as others. As your Councilmember, I will change that. I took these pictures yesterday and our City can do better.
